Things have been REALLY busy for the last 7
weeks. Franklin and Carlton are growing and are only waking one
or two times per night now, so that's good news. Speaking of
news, the Baby Dipper bowl made
The Huntsville Times last Friday and the local news tonight on TV.
Oh, and the bowls went on sale on July 23. And, I am busy
preparing for a local baby fair and the mothers of multiples sale this
weekend. AND, I am getting things ready for the
ABC Kids Expo
in Las Vegas September 6-11! No, I won't be going to Vegas.
Hans and his mother will be representing Baby Dipper there for me in
hopes of setting up some wholesale contracts. I'll try to post a
new blog entry more often than the monthly one I've been doing so
far.....

THE BOYS ARE
HERE!!!
Yes, Franklin Paul Schantz (left) and Carlton
Patrick Schantz (right) were born earlier than the scheduled c-section
(July 7). They arrived on Monday, June 30, so we’re busy taking care
of the new babies and finalizing all the details that were on our list
of things to do during that last week before their scheduled birth.
So far they’re doing quite well, though had a bit of jaundice, so had
to sleep on the bilirubin light beds for a few days. It’s so
difficult not to be able to cuddle them any time you want to.
Thankfully we’re past those days, so we’re getting our cuddles in
now. Greta and Cora are very loving and helpful big sisters already.
Cora sang a lullaby to Franklin today when he was crying and he
stopped crying to listen to her sing. So sweet!
In Baby Dipper news, the web site is just
about ready to accept orders online. Needless to say, the summer
of 2008 will certainly be a summer to remember for our family.

Computers are wonderful things, but only when
they work. My old computer gave up the gusto in mid-May, so I had a
couple of weeks with limited computer access before getting a new one
up and running. In the meantime, things with Baby Dipper continued to
move along fast and furiously. The bowl/spoon sets arrived at the
distribution center, so much time has been spent getting the other
details finalized to start taking orders online. This will happen
very soon since I also found out that our baby boys will be born on
Monday, July 7 at 7:00 a.m. That really puts a deadline
on things for me!
Quiet. Here I sit alone with my cat beside me in a completely
quiet house in the early morning hours. Greta and Cora, our
3-½-year-old twin girls are still asleep and the twin baby
boys inside me are also asleep and motionless. I realize
that this won’t last forever or even for very much longer,
so I thought this was a good point to start my blog. Things are
pretty crazy in my and Hans’s lives these days, but we always see
the brighter side of life and marvel at what we’ve been able to
accomplish so far. The Baby Dipper® bowls should be
ready for sale in June...just in time for me to deliver the twin
boys! We look forward to both exciting events. Check back soon for
more updates on the progress of the bowls AND the boys. :-)
